Sustainable Development & Human Rights

There is a close interconnection between sustainable development, good governance, and security with human rights. All the actions under the other programs feed into the better implementation of human rights. Nonetheless, because of the context of Albania whose democracy is not consolidated yet, there is a need to monitor the implementation of human rights and build citizens’ awareness around their rights and the institutional framework about human rights protection. Actions under this program will seek to better explain the cause and effects that affect human rights and engage the broader society in dialogues for human centered policies. Furthermore, actions within this program will explore the role that artistic and cultural interventions play in advancing human rights in Albania and beyond.
